Well I think that winter has definitely arrived here in Lima. Today has been much colder down to about 17 degrees. Time for the electric blanket. I think that I am getting soft in my old age. That's t-shirt temperatures in Scotland! It started off very misty as you can see in this short video clip. Every morning around 7 a.m. we are treated to the army band rehearsing just opposite our apartment.
You very seldom actually see them except occasionally they march past the front of one of the buildings. It's an early rise for the bandsmen though. You never hear them practicing after 8am.
Note the sudden change in the weather, brrrrrr.
Today was a split action effort again. Sheila got her 5k (7.2k actually) during a shopping trip to pick up a few necessary commodities and I squeezed mine in on her bike so we are still fully on track.
OK I am having to resort to some more archive images from previous outings. The first couple were taken at the Inka Market where all manner of gifts of dubious authenticity are available. There are a large number of alpaca wool items on sale and they do in fact feel very, VERY soft. Whether they are the genuine article or not I am uncertain. The prices suggest not to be honest but they do FEEL like the real thing. There is of course the traditional multicoloured fabrics available in practically every garment you might want from head to toe.
The squirrel was actually hanging on the bag looking in at one point.
Another couple of images for you from the Cat Park when there were both people and lots of cats.
I am hoping the the ice cream man will come round again soon so that I can capture a video of his tune for you. You are gonna love that. None of your Greensleeves music on our ice cream trucks here. Watch this space, I promise that you will not be disappointed.
OK another strava to add and it's a wrap.
